Room access, departure, and arrival:

The hotelier has the freedom to refuse guests whose attire is indecent and negligent, and whose behavior is noisy, improper, intoxicated, contrary to good morals, or public order. Anyone wishing to stay at the Hotel must disclose their identity and age, as well as that of accompanying persons. The guest may not bring third parties unknown to the hotelier into the room (Police Prefect's Ordinance of October 28, 1936, amended by Ordinance Art. 9 of February 1, 1940), unless authorized by the hotelier. Similarly, the guest may not occupy a room for a number of people greater than that allowed by current regulations (maximum two people per room, except for the Junior Suite, which accommodates up to three people). In case of violation of this regulation, the hotel reserves the right to charge the responsible guest for the cost of the room corresponding to the excess number of persons, in the presence or absence of the client, at the rates in effect at the time of the breach of the internal regulations. The hotel will debit the delinquent client's credit card. Upon arrival, unless agreed upon by the hotelier, the guest may not demand to occupy the room before 3:00 PM. The nightly rental ceases at 12:00 PM, regardless of the guest's arrival time. A luggage service allows guests to leave their luggage at the hotel reception against the issuance of a ticket. The hotel declines all responsibility in case of theft or damage to personal belongings. A banking imprint will be requested by the establishment at the reservation, and a preauthorization will be performed to verify its validity. Upon departure, the guest must return the room key to the reception. It is forbidden to take any object belonging to the hotel; the guest must inform the hotelier if there is a mistake and return it; otherwise, it will be charged. The room key is a key that the guest can keep with them. However, they must not entrust it to a third party and must return it on the day of departure.

In case of non-return, the hotel will charge €25 and deduct the amount from the client's credit card. Children and extra beds: Children are the sole responsibility of the client. It is forbidden to leave them unattended in the room. Upon request, the hotel can provide a crib, subject to availability, only in superior rooms and Junior Suites. A child up to 3 years old stays free of charge for the use of available bedding. Children and adults over 3 years old are not allowed to use this bedding. The maximum number of cribs per room is 1.

Responsibility: Non-compliance with the regulations, safety rules, hygiene, and any damage or negligence that could cause direct or indirect harm to equipment, people, or future services engage your responsibility and will be charged. You are responsible for your physical access conditions, and we disclaim all responsibilities for effects resulting from the services.

Respect of the premises: hygiene and safety rules: Decent, restrained, and discreet behavior is required to respect the serenity of the premises. It is forbidden to introduce glass objects, illicit substances, and to smoke within the establishment. Any breach of hygiene and safety instructions will result in immediate eviction of any person whose behavior goes against these rules.

Damage and nuisances: The guest must use the rented room while respecting the integrity of the premises. The rooms made available to our guests are checked, functional, and in good condition. Guests are invited to immediately report any shortcomings to the hotel reception.

In case of a problem, the guest must engage their civil liability. In the event of damage, the hotel reserves the right to charge the guest for the cost of repair or replacement. The same applies for any infraction noted after the guest's departure. The amount of compensation will be debited from the guest's card.

In case of intentional or unintentional damage to materials, objects, furniture belonging to the hotel, the hotel may demand full reimbursement with a penalty and damages of €1000 to €2000. In case of flooding or water damage, voluntary or involuntary, full reimbursement of the damage caused will be required. In case of damage to other rooms, reimbursement for the nights of other guests will be required. The hotel may demand a cleaning fee if the room is left in an unacceptable condition. In case of damage to carpeting, bedding, box spring, the hotel will require reimbursement for damages with a minimum fee of €1000 for restoration and the inability to re-rent the rooms.

In general, the guest must settle damages caused directly to the hotel. They can use their insurance (if they wish to be reimbursed) for all intentional or unintentional damages they cause during their stay.

All our rooms are non-smoking. The hotel reserves the right to claim the amount of one night for additional cleaning costs to guests who smoke in their room. If the guest wishes to continue smoking inside or outside designated areas, they will be asked to leave the hotel. In case of non-compliance with the hotel's internal regulations, the guest will be asked to leave the hotel without being able to demand any refund. The hotel reserves the right to deduct the amount of undeclared consumption and room damages. This amount will be deducted from the credit card provided at the reservation. The hotel has no obligation to notify the guest but can provide an invoice upon request.

Guests must not nail anything to the walls or move any furniture. Noise, even during the day, is prohibited. Guests causing disorder or scandal in any form will be asked to leave the hotel immediately and without reimbursement. For the tranquility of the establishment, all noise must cease between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Any neighborhood noise related to the behavior of a person or an animal under the responsibility of the guest may lead the hotelier to ask the latter to leave the establishment without the need for acoustic measures, as long as the generated noise is likely to disturb the tranquility of the clientele (art. R.1334-30 and R; 1334-31 of the Public Health Code). Any inappropriate noise will be reported to the police if necessary.

A hotel room is a place of rest. All business is strictly prohibited.

Prohibitions:

For safety reasons and for everyone's respect, it is strictly forbidden to smoke and/or vape in the rooms (even open windows) and the common areas of the hotel.

Smoking within the premises of the establishment exposes you to a fixed fine of €68 or to legal proceedings:

– Decree No. 2017-633 of April 25, 2017 relating to the conditions of application of the ban on vaping in certain places for collective use.

– Decree No. 2006-1386 of November 15, 2006 setting the conditions for applying the ban on smoking in places designated for collective use.

Non-compliance with the smoking ban: if we notice tobacco odors in your room after your departure, we will be unable to re-let it for the following night.

Thus, in addition to the fixed fine of €68, smoking or vaping in the rooms, even with the window open, will result in the billing of an additional night.

In addition, the use of an electronic cigarette or a hookah may unexpectedly trigger the fire alarm (the smoke detectors installed in the rooms are very sensitive), which will automatically lead to the evacuation of all guests from the room. hotel.

Any untimely triggering of the fire alarm for non-compliance with this provision will be charged €150 for the cost of putting the fire safety system back into service.

Similarly, it is forbidden to cook in the rooms, have meals, or bring drinks not provided by the hotel, as well as to do laundry.

Complaint:

Any complaint about the quality of the services provided must be presented to the hotelier immediately.

Safe:

Identity papers and valuable items (watch, jewelry, means of payment, etc.) can be placed in the safe provided in each room. It is also the client's responsibility to check that the safe is securely locked once the personal code has been entered.

Forgotten items:

If the guest forgets an item, they can request its return by parcel. This shipment must be made with tracking and insurance for valuable items. The shipment will be made after the client pays the shipping costs.

Theft: Theft is an offense characterized by the consumption of a paid good or service:

• Knowing that one is unable to pay or deliberately refusing to pay.

• While pretending to be willing to pay.

Theft is punishable by 6 months imprisonment and a €7,500 fine, in addition to damages.

SPA INTERNAL REGULATIONS

These are common-sense rules that will allow subsequent users to enjoy the space as much as you do in a clean and pleasant environment: respect for the premises, hygiene, and safety.

GENERAL RULES

1. The SPA area is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM only by reservation.

2. Access and use of this relaxation area are strictly reserved for guests with a reservation at the hotel. Any deviation from this rule can only be made with the express agreement of the management. Access is prohibited for children under 16, and for children under 18 not accompanied by an adult.

3. The SPA area is based on relaxation and tranquility. Please respect the required calm and discretion. The spa is not a pool; jumping or splashing is prohibited.

4. Eating, drinking, and smoking are, of course, prohibited in the SPA area.

5. Towels and/or bathrobes will be provided to you at the time of booking.

6. Entry into the room with street shoes is prohibited: disposable slippers are provided.

7. Follow the rules for using the SPA as outlined below.

8. After your visit to the SPA, please deposit the slippers and bathrobes in the designated basket.

9. The management of "Hotel des Carmes" reserves the right to exclude and prohibit entry to the Wellness area to any person whose behavior goes against these rules. 10 - The practice of the SPA has health consequences depending on individuals. SAUNA USAGE RULES

The sauna is intended for a maximum of 1 to 2 people. It is mandatory to shower before and after using the sauna. For hygiene reasons, place the towel (provided during booking) on the wooden benches of the sauna. The sauna session can be done in two parts: after a first session of 8 to 12 minutes, leave the sauna to relax and cool off (2 to 3 minutes), then proceed to the second session for 8 to 12 minutes, staying in the sauna only if you feel well. Upon exiting, you must drink plenty of water. After your visit to the SPA, please deposit the slippers and bathrobes in the designated basket. CAUTION: Vasodilation of the vessels due to heat triggers a rapid increase in heart rate and poses a danger to people with cardiovascular disease (immediately exit the sauna if you feel unwell).

HAMMAM REGULATIONS

The hammam is intended for a maximum of 1 to 2 people. Hygiene rules to follow: It is mandatory to shower before and after using the hammam, with long hair tied back. Decent swimwear is required, and correct behavior is essential. The heat and humidity of the hammam promote the growth of bacteria. Therefore, it is recommended to use a towel to sit on. Sunscreens and oils are strictly prohibited in the hammam. We thank you in advance for leaving your place and the hammam in general in the cleanliness in which you found them. A hammam session should not exceed 20 minutes. In case of equipment damage, repairs will be at the users' expense. When using the hammam, it is imperative to cool off with the shower outside the hammam and drink enough to compensate for water loss. It is recommended to take a soapy shower before accessing the "Hammam area" and a cold shower after use. It is forbidden to go to the SPA immediately after using the hammam. After your visit to the SPA, please deposit the slippers and bathrobes in the designated basket. The practice of the hammam has health consequences. We invite users to be cautious and inquire about this practice, especially individuals suffering from pulmonary conditions, asthma, hypertension, heart problems, or generally any person with a contagious disease. The hammam is prohibited for pregnant women.

Acceptance of internal regulations: The hotel's internal regulations apply to all reservations. Any stay implies acceptance of the specific conditions and the hotel's internal regulations. Non-compliance with the above provisions leads to the immediate termination of the contract, and financial penalties will be applied. In case of non-compliance with the hotel's internal regulations, the guest will be asked to leave the hotel without being able to demand any refund.

IN CASE OF NON-COMPLIANCE BY THE CLIENT WITH ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS, THE HOTELIER WILL BE OBLIGED TO INVITE THE CLIENT TO LEAVE THE ESTABLISHMENT IMMEDIATELY, WITHOUT ANY INDEMNITY.
